Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress, is known for her work in film and on television since the mid 1980s. Bassett has been awarded a variety of awards, such as two Golden Globe Awards, and 16 NAACP Image Awards. in the television and film industry, she's known for her many nominations and awards. Bassett was born in New York New York and fostered by an aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. As Bassett was around five, she and her sister relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida to live with their mother who was separated from their father. Bassett was in high school and watched John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she was inspired to be an actor. The year was 1980 and Bassett completed her studies at Yale University New Haven Connecticut with the degree of African American studies. She earned a diploma from the Yale School of Drama. She dated Courtney B. Vance, an actress who was also at Yale and they married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American Studies) in 1980. A Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the principal roles in action adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
